The Springboks are trying to win rather than play the best rugby.

To win a rugby game you have to score more points than the other team. To be the best team in the world you have to play the best rugby in the world.

Outscoring a team is about the now and doesn’t consider the rest of the season. Playing the best rugby is about now but the emphasis is more about the future. Continue reading

England need to be professional enough to find their passion.

In the Autumn England found out they were not quite where they hoped to be but made improvements throughout the 4 tests they played.

So I would have imagined that Stuart Lancaster would have been looking at the Six Nations with a quiet confidence. Then came the string of injuries. This changed the way the English rugby public were looking at the opening encounter with Wales at the Millennium Stadium.
