The Cheetahs are attacking well and are a threat to whichever team they play against. The problem is in their endevour to play attacking rugby they are letting too many soft tries in.
If you are of the mindset that the Cheetahs are just like they have always been, a feisty bunch of characters that don’t mind throwing it about a bit then you are wrong. Look a little closer and you will see a squad that is working very hard to improve in all aspects of the game. From set-piece, to defensive organisation, to individual tackling to decision making to rucks and stealing or slowing ball on the floor to attacking play and what to do with turnover ball.
The Cheetahs are not crying about the exodus of talent from the union to every other team they are getting on with the job. In Franco Smith they have a guy who understands the modern game and is in the process of trying to create a culture at the Cheetahs.
The Cheetahs game is moving forward and for them it must be about putting your head down and grafting and keep grafting until they find success.
